Who We Are

Truth-telling and collaborative partners who bring your flights of fancy to life with intention.

Our Story

Fate was in the air when Jess interviewed for a position at Elisa’s former agency. Jess got the job, they started sharing an office, and the rest is history. They found that not only did their skills complement one another freakishly well but they both love watching reality tv and could discuss it ad nauseum.

2023 was a big year for them and they each left their former agency to pursue new avenues. It wasn’t long after before they realized they missed working together and making cool things happen. Thus, Sunny Side Creative was born — and we’re so glad you’re here!

Jess Gill

Principal | Director of Communications

Avid reader, wild dancer, brand new mom. Jess is passionate about bringing her special blend of authenticity, curiosity, connection, and problem-solving to make your words resonate. She loves digging in and figuring out what makes you you — which is why she’s so good at messaging, strategy, and execution.

With nearly 15 years of higher ed and nonprofit communications experience, she’s worn a lot of hats. And as a writer first and foremost, she leads with questions to get to the truth of who you are and why you matter.

Elisa Watson

Creative Director

Marathon runner, stamp collector, mom. Elisa brings more than 20 years of experience to Sunny Side and a passion for all things art, type, and form. Her well-balanced designs spark interest and produce results. From the smallest of projects to the largest of campaigns at creative agencies, nonprofits, and medical systems alike, she’s done it all.

For her work, she’s received numerous awards (AMA, Print Quality, PRSA, American In-House Design, and more) — let’s just say she’s got the skills and the know-how to deliver quality products for your needs. Get ready to laugh (and maybe cry) when you work with Elisa — there’s no idea or topic off-limits.

Our Values

Collaboration

We approach each and every collaboration from a place of curiosity — and fun! When we enjoy our work together, the outcomes are that much better.

Equity

We invite you to come exactly as you are because that’s how we show up for one another, every single day. Whatever tools and resources we can provide to make our work together better, we’re here for it.

Purpose

Everything we do is intentional — from both a professional and personal standpoint. We want to show up for our clients the same way we show up for our families and our communities.

Quality

We believe in the quality of our work and we believe in the quality of our relationships. Part of working at such a high level is being accountable about the ways we value our time, our work, our expertise, and yours.

Truth

When you combine authenticity with transparency you land on truth. Truth about our strengths, our weaknesses, our wants, our needs. That’s why we always come from a place of candidness and respect — it allows us to build a relationship based on mutual trust.

How we're Living our values

It’s simple: we start with kindness and respect. We align ourselves with people who are invested in making this world a better place. We operate with empathy, meaning our ears and minds are open because we always want to learn more and do more. And we bring our whole selves — kids, pets, quirks and all — to the table. What you see is what you get when you work with us!

We do all of this because we want to live in a world where we’re always on the sunny side of the street — and when we aren’t, we want to help bring that light forward.

Anti-Discrimination Statement

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, marital status, military/veteran status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, genetic information, disability, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law. Above all, we continue to prioritize being an inclusive workplace that helps make an impact in our community.
