We start with a discovery and site planning phase — think of it as identifying the gap between where you are and where you want to go. We’ll talk about your goals and priorities, your key users, your content needs, and your desired functionalities to make it easier for you to deliver your services and programs.

During this phase, you can expect to see:

• A proposed site map for your website’s new navigation
• A timeline that includes key milestones and meetings that are necessary to get us to launch!

Then, we’ll focus on your web copy, with a key focus on these three things:

• Does your content tell your user what you do and how you do it?
• Is the language accessible to your average user?
• Does it convey your brand’s tone and personality?

Fun fact: we also conduct keyword research to optimize content on your website. Then, through a combination of collaboration and curiosity, we’ll fill in the gaps to ensure your new and revised copy is consistent, streamlined, and sounds just like you.

Now that we have a clear sense of who you are, what you do, and how you do it, we can use that knowledge to inform your site’s overall design! We’ll talk about:

• Your design inspiration
• Your colors, fonts, and other brand style elements
• Ways to organize your content that are visually appealing

It goes without saying that your site will be mobile-friendly, but we’ll say it anyway!

Once design and copy are in hand, it’s time to make it real. We’ll start by creating a staging site that we can play with. From there, we’ll start integrating all of the copy, design, and functionalities to get us one step closer to “finished.” Then, we’ll have a “First Look” meeting — which is exactly what it sounds like. You’ve been getting bits and pieces of the site all along, but now is the first time where you can see everything in one place! We do some tinkering and refining, and then comes the big kahuna: launch! (This is the part where you get to tell everyone about your new website and watch your traffic increase majorly!)

Of course, we would be remiss if we didn’t include training. We want you to feel empowered to make adjustments to the site as needed as you grow and evolve.

We’ll handle all plugin subscriptions through the first year of your site from the date of its launch. We’ll also guarantee a one-year warranty that covers technical updates for plugins, themes, and WordPress versions. After the first year, you have the option to purchase a maintenance agreement for ongoing support to extend your warranty.
