Shore Legal Access had recently undergone a rebranding effort — and now it was time to ensure that their digital marketing and communications collateral reflected their new brand. The best way to do that? Create a sense of visual consistency and clear brand identity through custom social media and email templates.

We started by creating eight social media templates that could be used for repeat purposes: highlighting a staff member or volunteer, promoting an event, a fundraising call-to-action, sharing post-event highlights, and other plug-and-play templates to use as needed. We built them directly in Shore Legal Access’ Canva account, allowing the internal team to edit the templates while maintaining brand consistency. We also set up a brand kit within Canva with their logo, color palette, and fonts.

Then, we moved into the newsletter template, focusing on what would make the newsletters immediately recognizable to readers as Shore Legal Access. We wanted to ensure the newsletter could accommodate space for multiple features, a list of upcoming events, staff or partner spotlights, and a soft ask for donations. We also wanted to make sure Shore Legal Access could easily plug-and-play its content and add or remove sections as needed.

From there, we followed it up by creating another template that could be used to promote a single event or highlight award winners. Each template we created deployed Shore Legal Access’ new visual identity and had intentional calls to action to drive readers back to their website. All email communication templates were built directly in Shore Legal Access’ Constant Contact account for ease of use.

Then, we provided the Shore Legal Access team training on how to best activate these new email and social media templates.
